The Bangladesh Biosafety Clearing House (BBCH) is the national information exchange platform dedicated to implementing the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety ensuring the safe transfer, handling, and use of Living Modified Organisms (LMOs) or Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs). BBCH supports policy makers, researchers, and communities with transparent access to biosafety information.

Comprehensive Biosafety Regime

Bangladesh has developed a comprehensive biosafety regime through:

  • Biosafety Guidelines of Bangladesh 2008
  • Bangladesh Biosafety Rules 2012
  • National Biosafety Policy 2024
